Fatherhood & Mentoring

Every level of the Fraternity is asked to play an active role in support of the partnership by actively engaging in the promotion of the Fraternity’s Fatherhood Mentoring initiative.

Fatherhood and mentoring are intrinsically linked roles, both of which involve guiding, nurturing, and shaping the growth and development of, typically children or young adults. In the realm of fatherhood, father's role is multifaceted, encompassing emotional support, discipline, protection, and life guidance. The introduction of mentoring into fatherhood can further enrich the relationship, merging guidance with a more deliberate focus on developing skills, and personal growth.

Fatherhood and mentoring align and support each other in several ways, including providing guidance and advice building and strong relationships, modeling behavior and values, empowering independence, and offering emotional support. Mentorship in fatherhood does not necessarily imply formal instruction; it can also arise through day-to-day experiences such as problem-solving together, working through mistakes, or engaging in deep conversations.
