NAACP

Every district and chapter of the fraternity is required to maintain a Life Membership at Large in the NAACP. All members of the fraternity are encouraged to join the NAACP.

The NAACP, established in 1909, is one of the oldest and most influential civil rights organizations in the United States. Its primary mission is to fight for racial justice and African Americans and other marginalized groups. The organization works to combat discrimination, advocate for civil rights laws, and promote equal opportunities in areas such as education, employment, housing, and voting rights.

Over years, the NAACP has expanded its focus to include issues like economic justice, healthcare, police reform. It remains an important voice in advocating for social justice and equality in the U.S. today. Each District and chapter of the fraternity are required to maintain a Life Membership at Large in the NAACP. In the event a chapter or district cannot sustain a Life Membership with the NAACP, it must maintain a yearly membership to be in good standing with the fraternity headquarters.
