Voter Registration, Education & Mobilization
Chapters facilitate and participate in activities that uplift their communities through the power of the vote.
The Omega Psi Phi Voter Registration, Education, and Mobilization Program is designed to encourage civic engagement, particularly within the African American community. This program aims to increase voter participation, educate the public on the importance of voting, and mobilize individuals to make their voices heard in the political process. All levels of the fraternity are expected to facilitate, in, and/or coordinate activities that will uplift their communities through the of voting. An international committee will oversee and facilitate multifaceted programs across various chapters, districts, etc.
Omega Psi Phi chapters across the country organize voter registration drives to ensure that individuals are registered to vote, especially those who may be eligible but have not yet registered. These efforts are often focused on communities where voter registration may be lower or where there are significant barriers to participation. The fraternity is committed to educating the community about the voting process, including the importance of voting in local, state, and national elections.
